Salus Solutions’ Safeguard+, an industry first, offers a proactive data approach to protecting your property and valuables in the event of theft, fire, or natural disaster property claims. The data is used in the event of an insurance claim to document the property in its “before” state and provide critical data to the insurance company. This will shorten the time and increase the accuracy of the estimate, settlement, and overall efficiency of your claim. This data can also be useful for contractors, law firms, and other third parties.    

Safeguard+ property reports ensure you are properly insured and protected by increasing the accuracy and efficiency of your claim by utilizing the following:   

• High-quality 3D/VR Virtual Tours to establish your property in its “before” state, including interior, exterior, roof, and outbuildings, and document your readily apparent personal property* 
• 2D floor plans and measurements (PDF, JPG, DXF, SVG Formats)
• 3D-rendering and model with measurements of your roof, walls, windows, doors, and finishes  
• Interior and exterior photographs  
• Property Valuation to verify the proper amount of insurance is in place 
• Property Owner Report – property data and information for your records  
• Insurance Claim Packet – specific property data and guidance for the claims process   

*Standard 360 imaging will only capture readily apparent personal property. For more in-depth photo documentation of valuables, an hourly rate will be assessed.  

Interior 2D/3D Floor Plans 
An Xactimate Sketch™ rendering is utilized to save time and carry costs on estimate preparation in the event of a claim. All measurements: walls, ceilings, floors, and cabinets are documented. Client personnel, i.e., insurance adjustors or other third parties, will only need to enter the scope of repairs for the affected area and include policyholder photographs to document the extent of the damage. An Xactimate Sketch™ .ESX file (3D floor plan) is included in your Safeguard+ Claim Packet for applicable client personnel.  

Exterior and Roof 
The exterior and roof data deliver detailed and accurate exterior measurements and industry-specific data for writing an estimate of repair quickly and accurately.   

The measurements and sketches include:   

• Roof footprints
• Facets, pitches, ridges/hips, valleys, rakes, eves, flashing, step flashing, drip edge/perimeter
• Soffit footprints with depth, length, and area for each soffit
• Gutters and downspout sketch, count, and length
• Areas for each façade and siding per elevation
• Facades and elevations
• Area and length for level starter, sloped and vertical trim
• Quantity and length for inside and outside corners
• Siding waste factor calculations
• Areas and lengths for eaves fascia, level frieze board, rakes, and sloped frieze boards
• Quantity, top length, total perimeter, width, height, united inches, and area for all openings
• Quantity and area for shutters and vents
• Elevation sketches
• Interactive 3D Model

Your Safeguard+ Claim Packet is not only a specific collection of data and important information regarding your property for an insurance claim, but also a useful tool that may be utilized for many other purposes. Your Claim Packet, a crucial tool when filing a property claim, hiring an attorney, claim consultant, third-party estimator, public adjustor, contractor, and more. Your Safeguard+ Property Report contains the data in the Claim Packet, but your packet is specifically designed for third-party use and your Safeguard+ Property Report is for your personal reference.

How to use my Safeguard+ Claim Packet 
Insurance Claim – Send the digital Claim Packet to your insurance agent or broker when you file your claim. Advise them that it contains important information regarding your property claim. Ask them to open, review, acknowledge receipt, and confirm review.  

Third Parties – If you utilize a third party, i.e., claim consultant, attorney, public adjustor, etc., send them the digital Claim Packet and they can utilize the data to assist you.   

Contractors – If you are looking to make repairs or renovations, your Claim Packet contains helpful data for contractors to generate their bids.
